Frequently asked questions
Can foreigners buy insurance in Italy?
Yes. What matters for most policies is where you live or where the insured property is, not your nationality. You will usually need an Italian tax code (codice fiscale), an address in Italy and an ID document. Online quotes may not be available in your region: if so, contact us.
Are the policy documents in English?
The pre-contract documents and Insurance Conditions are issued by the insurer in Italian, and the Italian version is the legally binding one. We go through them with you in English before you sign, and you deal with us in English for renewals and claims.
Does English-speaking advice cost extra?
No. Advice in English is included with every quote and policy: it does not change the premium, which is calculated on the insurer's tariff exactly as for Italian-speaking customers.

How do I make a claim if I don't speak Italian?
Contact us in English. We tell you which documents are needed, help you prepare them and follow the claim with the insurer until it is settled.
